There is a proverbial “elephant in the room” of cultural Christianity in the United States and beyond. Jesus has called his followers to a radically generous, outward-focused lifestyle. This calling to be a generous people is an essential part of our faith and can no longer be ignored.
Tackling the Elephant is a strategic effort to mobilize Kingdom-minded followers of Jesus to embrace revolutionary and generous economic practices as a way to proclaim the availability of the real and emerging reign of God’s Kingdom through Jesus Christ.
Christians of all backgrounds and persuasions are invited to “tackle the elephant” by signing the economic declaration and taking the three action initiatives.
